  • The rules change throughout the game, offering a uniquely high replay value.
  • There will be times when you have to speak as a pirate, and there will be rules about how you can loot from your companions - even cards that allow you to play out of turn to surprise your enemies. Captain's hats give you certain privileges, but beware of mutiny among the crew.
  • Pirate Fluxx is very easy to play, as each card has its own set of instructions.
  • Place the basic rules card in the center of the table. Shuffle the deck of cards and deal three cards to each player. Place the remaining cards face down next to the basic events to create a draw pile. At the beginning of the game, there will be no objective or new rule cards.
  • The game is about change, so this game will change as you play it. The game starts with a few very simple rules and gets more complex.
